What are electronic manufacturing services (EMS)?

Electronic manufacturing services (EMS) — also called electronics contract manufacturing — cover the design, manufacture, testing, and after-sales servicing of electronic assemblies and products by a specialized partner. An EMS company such as Aurightec manufactures products on behalf of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), providing the engineering, production capacity, and supply chain needed to move a product from concept to volume production.

What does an EMS provider do?

An EMS provider manages part or all of the product lifecycle. What is the difference between EMS and contract electronics manufacturing?
